U.S. Department of Energy

  • The Department of Energy (DOE) has released guidelines from the Weatherization Assistance Program’s response regarding the reopening of the nation in phases.

  • Department of Energy Issues Memo Reopening Guidelines and FAQs (May 28, 2020).

  • On March 25, 2020, the U.S Department of Energy (DOE) released a memorandum addressing the Weatherization Assistance Program Frequently Asked Questions Related to COVID-19. The (DOE) Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) is directly impacted by the novel COVID-19 pandemic. DOE WAP wishes to uniformly address current issues the WAP network is grappling as a result of COVID-19. This memorandum contains information on the Impact of COVID-19 on the WAP workforce and clients, and what actions DOE is considering in light of the situation. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) 

  • The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has released updated FAQ’s for COVID-19 grants that addresses questions for allowable costs for grant recipients.
  • On June 29, EPA set August 31 as the termination date for COVID-19 Implications for EPA’s Enforcement Compliance Assurance Program.
  • EPA posts the FAQs of Grants and Coronavirus to provide information to applications for, and recipients of, EPA grants and cooperative agreements relating to COVID-19.
  • EPA announced $1 million in grant funding will be made available to address issues and concerns within environmental justice communities (April 30, 2020).
  • EPA Announces Enforcement Discretion Policy for COVID-19 Pandemic: the EPA issued a memorandum on March 26, 2020 that includes COVID-19 implications for EPA’s enforcement and compliance assurance program for all governmental and private sector partners.   • EPA Publishes Amendments to Quality-Assurance Requirements during the COVID-19 National Emergency regarding emissions monitoring and reporting requirements (April 24, 2020).
  • EPA issues interim rule during COVID-19 to amend emissions reporting regulations. This rule is effective April 21, 2020 and applies to the Acid Rain Program, the Cross State Air Pollution (CSAPR) and/or the NOx SIP Call. 
  • EPA releases and/or updates the following COVID-19 FAQs:

    • Temporary COVID-19 Enforcement Policy
