About

WELCOME TO THE OFFICE OF GRANTS AND FEDERAL RESOURCES

We are a coordinating agency of the Arizona Department of Administration. The Office of Grants and Federal Resources (GFR) helps state agencies, local governments, and non-profit organizations, find, win and manage grants. GFR strives to be the premier resource of training and technical assistance for the Arizona grants community. One of our primary goals is to simplify the grant pursuance process for grant opportunities offered by state agencies as local governments and nonprofits will be able to search all current state opportunities on this site.  For our fellow state colleagues, you can access the state’s subscription to the eCivis system through this website in order to find federal and foundation grant opportunities, as well as, manage your current open projects and grants.

You will also find information on complying with federal Executive Order 12372, “Intergovernmental Review of Federal Programs” and Arizona Executive Order 2013-09, "Establishing the Arizona Office of Grants and Federal Resources.” The maximum benefits from grant programs are only achieved by reducing unnecessary administrative costs while simultaneously improving program performance and outcomes, increasing overall results, while ensuring integrity,  transparency, and accountability in the process. While GFR undertakes these lofty goals, we will chronicle our efforts and share helpful resources.

MISSION

To maximize the value of grant funding by applying a risk-based, data-driven framework that balances compliance requirements with demonstrating successful results for the American taxpayer.

VISION

To be the premier resource for the Arizona grants community by providing and coordinating information, business systems, model guidance, best practices, training, and support to help the grants community build the capacity it needs to successfully apply for and manage federal grant programs, and in doing this ensure that Arizona receives its fair share of federal resources while minimizing unnecessary federal regulations and unfunded mandates.

Establishing the Office of Grants and Federal Resources

Executive Order 2013-09, signed by the Governor on October 28, 2013, establishes the Arizona Office of Grants and Federal Resources.
